Store to Offer Complete Range of Automotive and Transmission Repair

Midlothian, IL (June 4, 2019) – Moran Family of Brands, one of the nation’s leading franchises of general automotive repair, transmission repair and driver safety products, announced its newest franchise location with a Mr. Transmission/Milex Complete Auto Care store in Birmingham, Alabama.

The Mr. Transmission/Milex co-branded franchise opened on Monday, June 3 and is located at 7136 Cahaba Valley Rd. Birmingham. The new franchise is owned by Kimberly Whitworth. Her father, Randy, owns two other Mr. Transmission stores in the area, having operated the location in Hoover for more than 30 years and the shop in Pelham since 2007. The national franchise has more than 80 locations across the country.

Mr. Transmission/Milex will offer customers in the area a comprehensive selection of automotive repair and maintenance services. Mr. Transmission specializes in repair and installation of a vehicle’s transmission systems and drivetrain components. Milex provides customers with preventative maintenance services such as oil changes, brake repair, and radiator and cooling systems and engine repair along with a full range of diagnostic services.

Kimberly Whitworth began working at the Mr. Transmission in Hoover while in high school and later helped direct the opening of the Pelham location. She has coordinated the sales, marketing, advertising and administrative responsibilities for both shops for the past 12 years. Her sister, Amberly, currently serves as Center Manager at the Hoover store, while her brother, Randell, is the Center Manager at the Pelham location.

“I’m very excited to follow in my family’s footsteps and bring another Mr. Transmission to the area while also adding the Milex Complete Auto Care brand to the store,” said Whitworth. “We will remain a family-owned business that values our customers and can provide them with any kind of automotive or transmission repair service.”

Whitworth renovated an 8,000 square foot space for the new Mr. Transmission/Milex shop. The facility features 10 indoor car bays and the latest computer diagnostic equipment to assess the proper method of vehicle repair. It will also have enough space to service larger trucks and equipment vehicles.

“Our Mr. Transmission shops in Hoover and Pelham have been very successful under Randy Whitworth for many years and we believe the newest Mr. Transmission/Milex store will give car owners in the area additional service for their vehicles,” said Peter Baldine, President of Moran Family of Brands. “Kimberly Whitworth had a wonderful mentor with her father for many years and we believe she will do a great job in owning the new location in Birmingham.”
