Moran Family of Brands, a North American automotive franchise operator, has unified its U.S. and Canadian operations under a single leadership structure following its acquisition of Mister Transmission, a move designed to streamline franchise support and accelerate systemwide growth across both countries.
The company said the reorganization establishes a North American framework intended to improve operational consistency, strengthen franchisee support functions, and align growth strategy across its automotive repair and services brands in the United States and Canada.
At the center of the new structure, Tony Kuczynski has been appointed president of North America, overseeing franchise support across all brands and markets. Kuczynski previously served as president and chief executive officer of Mister Transmission in Canada, where he led the business through a period of expansion that included increases in both systemwide and average store sales, along with improvements in operational performance and customer satisfaction.
In his expanded role, Kuczynski will focus on integrating key franchise support functions across the two countries, including marketing, training, technical support and store operations. He will also be responsible for standardizing processes across the franchise network and improving execution consistency across markets.
Kuczynski said the integration effort will focus on building a unified operating model across the organization’s brands while maintaining support for franchisees in both countries. He said the goal is to improve operational alignment and ensure consistent value delivery to customers and store operators.
As part of the organizational changes, Moran Family of Brands has structured its operations into three core pillars: finance and administration, franchise support, and growth and development. The company said the framework is intended to clarify responsibilities and improve execution across its multi-brand portfolio.
Barb Moran-Goodrich will continue as chief executive officer, overseeing the finance and administration pillar. Tony Kuczynski will lead the franchise support pillar, while Peter Baldine has transitioned from president to chief growth officer to lead growth and development initiatives across the system.
Moran-Goodrich said the new structure is designed to bring together the strengths of both U.S. and Canadian operations under a unified leadership team. She said the company’s focus is on building a stronger platform for long-term growth by improving coordination across brands and enhancing franchisee support.
The company also announced two additional leadership promotions aimed at strengthening its operational capabilities. Brian Schroeder has been named chief operating officer after previously serving as vice president of operations for Mister Transmission in Canada. Tim Rodifer has been promoted to senior vice president of operations, technical support and vendor management, following his prior role as technical director.
Moran Family of Brands said both leaders bring extensive franchise and operational experience, including prior roles as franchise owners within the system. The company said their combined experience will support improvements in technical training, operations and vendor coordination across the franchise network.
The leadership changes took effect April 6, 2026.
The restructuring comes as the automotive aftermarket sector continues to expand, driven by sustained vehicle ownership trends and demand for maintenance and repair services. Industry forecasts estimate the global automotive aftermarket will reach approximately $664 billion by 2028, creating growth opportunities for franchise-based service providers.
Moran Family of Brands operates nearly 200 franchise locations across North America under multiple automotive service brands, including Milex Complete Auto Care, Mister Transmission, Alta Mere, Turbo Tint and others. The company is headquartered in Orland Park, Illinois, and focuses on general automotive repair, transmission services and related aftermarket offerings.
