Moran Family of Brands, one of the nation’s leading franchises of general automotive repair, transmission repair and driver safety products, announced its newest franchise location with a Milex Complete Auto Care/Mr. Transmission store in Columbus, Ohio.
The Milex/Mr. Transmission co-branded franchise opened on September 21 and is located at 2233 Morse Road. The new store is owned by Columbus residents Matt and Debra Boily, who recently moved from Seattle. In addition to the newest store, the couple signed franchise agreements to bring two additional Milex/Mr. Transmission shops to the Columbus area in 2022 and 2024.
Milex/Mr. Transmission will offer customers in the area a comprehensive selection of automotive repair and maintenance services. Milex provides customers with preventative maintenance services such as oil changes, brake repair, and radiator and cooling systems and engine repair along with a full range of diagnostic services. Mr. Transmission specializes in repair and installation of a vehicle’s transmission systems and drivetrain components.
Matt Boily spent 10 years in auto repair early in his career and was an ASE Master Technician. He spent more than 18 years with Cessna Aircraft Company, working in several executive management roles. He then served 4 ½ years as Director of Operations at Aerospace AMT, where he ran a $165 million revenue company. Boily will lend his auto repair expertise to the shop while also driving customer awareness and growing the business. Debra Boily will handle outside sales and oversee the store’s accounting and training processes.
“We are committed to providing honest and reliable service to our customers and will help them prioritize the repairs to meet their needs and budget,” said Matt Boily. “We’ve already had a great response from customers in the area and we look forward to bringing additional Milex/Mr. Transmission stores in the coming years to cover the entire Columbus market.”
The newest Milex/Mr. Transmission shop is a 7,300 square foot refurbished facility featuring 10 car bays. Boily has hired one center manager and three technicians and expects to hire several more techs at that location depending on business demand.
“Columbus is a market we have targeted for some time and we are thrilled to expand our franchise footprint to central Ohio,” said Peter Baldine, President of Moran Family of Brands. “Matt and Debra Boily possess many of the qualities we seek in our franchise owners. They are a family operation committed to providing honest service for their customers. We anticipate the Milex/Mr. Transmission stores coming to Columbus will each be very successful.”
