Turbo Tint, a unique new concept specializing in automotive window tint, caters to the busy schedules of its customers with online purchasing, appointment scheduling and a speedy installation process.
The window tint provider created an online purchasing and ordering system to help customers avoid lines and reduce wait times. Customers can now purchase the tint package of their choice and schedule their service appointment from the comfort of their living room with just a few clicks of the computer’s mouse. The e-commerce service was tested for a year and a half before launching the brand to make sure it could provide customers with an easy-to-use tool. A signature part of the service is the entire installation process is completed in one hour or less.
When customers arrive for their appointment, they only need to select their desired shade of window film before they are directed to the modern and spacious customer waiting area, featuring all the perks of home. They can spend the next hour relaxing in overstuffed leather chairs next to the fire while enjoying a complimentary iced cold beer, or glass of wine. The waiting area also features Starbucks coffee, soft drinks and snacks, all of which is complimentary for Turbo Tint customers. The room also offers flatscreen televisions for watching sports or catching up on the day’s news. If guests need to get some work done, they can plug in at one of the waiting room’s five computer workstations with free Wi-Fi.
“We wanted to provide a stellar customer service experience to make people feel welcome. Purchasing and scheduling an online appointment helps reduce wait times and we pride ourselves on completing every window tint installation in less than an hour,” said Greg Goodman, franchisee of the first Turbo Tint location in Oklahoma City. “While their window film is installed, guests will enjoy our welcoming customer waiting experience. They can watch their favorite TV program and choose from our lineup of beverages and snacks. We’ve had a great response so far and feel that this concept is a game-changer for the automotive window tinting industry.”
Moran Family of Brands recently added Turbo Tint to its umbrella of franchise brands. Turbo Tint is the brainchild of long-time Moran Family of Brands franchisee Greg Goodman and his son, Chandler. After successfully operating an Alta Mere location in Oklahoma for more than 25 years, the Goodmans wanted to focus on automotive window tinting, as well as paint protection film services. The pair developed Turbo Tint, a quick-installation, online purchasing and scheduling concept. They converted their Alta Mere store to the first Turbo Tint franchise in October.
Goodman had the chance to determine whether the online ordering system was successful last spring following the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. When his Alta Mere store was forced to close in April due to government stay-at-home orders, the business stayed afloat by taking window tint orders exclusively online through the system they were testing. The store sold 250 window tint orders and increased sales by more than $10,000 over the previous April, despite being closed for nearly the entire month.
Window tinting is an important tool to keep your car in good condition and provide peace of mind on the road. Automotive window tint can cut down glare from the sun, offer privacy, and reduce exposure to harmful ultraviolet rays. It can prevent the car’s interior, including the upholstery and dashboard, from fading due to sun exposure. Window tinting also improves fuel economy by helping maintain the interior temperature of the car. The protective laminate can keep passengers safe from flying glass during an accident or when a rock hits the windshield.
“The Turbo Tint concept takes customer service to the next level by offering a welcoming waiting area that combines happy hour with car repair. It’s an outstanding franchise opportunity for people who are searching for a solid opportunity,” said Pete Baldine, President of Moran Family of Brands.
In addition to automotive window tinting, Turbo Tint locations will also offer architectural window tinting solutions and paint protection film services. Paint protection services apply a thin protective film to maintain the condition of a vehicle’s exterior from damage due to scratches, chips and abrasion from rocks, pebbles, and debris from the road.
